Smucker's Family Bio
Timothy P. Smucker is Chairman and Co-CEO of The J. M. Smucker Company, makers of the leading U.S. brand of jams, jellies, and preserves. Smucker's also owns Jif, the number one peanut butter brand, as well as Crisco -- all three are American icon brands. In addition, it produces extensive lines of ice cream toppings, natural peanut butter, juices, and other food products. Tim is the great-grandson of J. M. (Jerome Monroe) Smucker, founder of the company bearing his name in Orrville, Ohio in 1897. The Company's headquarters are still located in Orrville.
Tim graduated from The College of Wooster in 1967 with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and received his MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Before being named Chairman in 1987, he held various marketing and operational positions with the Company, including President and Chief Operating Officer.
In addition to serving on the Board of Smucker's, Tim is a director of Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream, Inc. and Grocery Manufacturers of America, Inc. He is also President of EAN International, a standards organization, a member of the Uniform Code Council's Board of Governors and Executive Committee, a member of the Board of Trustees of The College of Wooster, and a member of the Steering Committee of Heartland Education Community, Inc., an Orrville community education reform effort.
He married the former Jennifer Coddington and they have three children and two grandchildren.

Richard graduated from Miami University (Ohio), and received an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Before being named President in 1987, he held various financial and operational positions with the Company, including Treasurer, Executive Vice President, and Chief Administrative Officer.
In addition to serving on the Board of Smucker's, Richard is a director of the
Wm. Wrigley, Jr. Company and The Sherwin-Williams Company; a trustee of the Cleveland Orchestra and Miami University of Ohio, and serves as an advisor to Buttonwood Capital Partners Board of Directors. He has also served on various charitable organizations.
He married the former Emily Delp, also a Miami graduate (class of 1970), and they have one daughter.
